I really tried to like this book because it’s one of the main books that got me into reading comics. I mean, I like the talent they have on the book and the roster is okay… kinda sorta… but the stories just don’t give me the fix that they used to before all this. I gave it a chance for 3 months and $3, but it feels like I’ve been backing the wrong horse here. I just don’t like where this book is headed now, so I’m going to check out other books. Other people seem to be lovin’ it, so continue to enjoy. I’m out.

Actually, I’ve missed nothing since there are only three issues in this new creative team’s run and those are the three issues that I mentioned in my previous post. There’s no indication that the direction will change so there is no need for me to continue purchasing a book that I no longer like. I wish the team continued success with the book, but I’m moving on to other books.

Face it, you just don’t like change. If you don’t like change, then you don’t like the future. If you don’t like the future then you need to stop reading comic books. Times change and books need to change or else they’ll stay the same and never grow by changing what they are. Stop trying to force everything to stay the same just for the sake of things not changing.

Change is good.

Murdur: … the hell? Are you even reading my posts? How can you even follow this convoluted storyline (um, no offense) and not understand simple message board posts? How can I be missing out on something that I’m going to dislike? If your friend’s allergic to fish and he decides to not head with the rest of the crew to Long John Silver’s, is he missing out?

N.I.: You? You’re an ass. I’m not begging for the old characters to come back or for any change in the book. I’m just going to stop reading it. And that future crap? The books that I’m going to read instead of this one will be written, drawn and printed in the future and I will buy them in a slightly more distant future than that. I don’t hate change, I just don’t like what I don’t like. I know it sounds crazy, but it happens. If I hated change, I wouldn’t be reading the Atom, Manhunter (sigh) or Heroes for Hire. Just because something is changed doesn’t mean it’s been evolved or even improved. If you need proof, try cutting off one of your fingers. There. Did that improve your hand? If you think so, then you’re just as much of a trend-riding moron as your signature makes you out to be.

Enough of this. I’m not going to waste my time or derail this thread any further. I’m off to the Spidey 3 spoilers.

A FUTURE THAT DUDE WILL BE MISSING OUT ON

Disclaimer: this was a dramatization and not an actual message board topic. These are fictional people and the names were made up on the spot. They are not based on any actual people. No message boards were harmed during the making of this. Guests of tonight’s performance stayed at the Holiday Inn in beautiful downtown Burbank. But to tell the truth, I want to draw a picture of Repulsor Ray Bill now. Is that wrong?
